Ruthie has spoken to tens of thousands of youth around the world. She has shared her 40 years of experience in the hardcourt game with youngsters from China to Moldovia, and Saudi Arabia to Australia.
During busy weeks, she speaks to as many as 6,000 kids in a week, sharing her passionate and heartfelt message.....

Ruthie was the original franchise player for the WNBA’s Sacramento Monarchs. She has scored over 2,000 career points, and is the only player in Sac Monarchs history to have her number retired. She’s been on the cover of Sports Illustrated, a guest on Regis and Kathy Lee, Late Night with David Letterman, and starred in a popular Nike commercial.
Ruthie believes that her gifts are to be used for a higher purpose. Specifically, to inspire others to let their light shine and perform at their best. “If I am only remembered for being a basketball player, I believe that I will have failed in my job on this planet,” says Ruthie, who makes a daily practice of encouraging others in her life, and in her message to the world.
